Candidate Forum Scheduled for Montgomery Independent School District (MISD) Board of Trustees

The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) and the Voter Awareness Council (VAC) are pleased to announce that they are co-hosting a non-partisan, unbiased candidate forum on Thursday, April 18, 2019, 7:00 pm at the Lake Creek High School, 20639 FM 2854, Montgomery, TX 77316. Position 6 candidates Kent Pope, Matthew Fuller and Larry Hereford; and Position 7 candidates Russell Messecar and Gary Hammons have all been invited. Early voting is April 22nd through April 30th. Election Day is May 4th. Chamber and VAC officials will be co-hosting and introducing the session but will have no role in the actual forum.

Julie Cannon, General Manager of the Community Impact Newspaper – Conroe / Montgomery Edition will act as forum moderator. Julie will use questions based on the media’s overall awareness of MISD issues, questions submitted to her from anyone prior to the session via email at jcannon@communityimpact.com, and written questions submitted by the audience during the early stages of the forum. Candidates will make opening and closing remarks, answer questions in a round robin question format, and have the opportunity to comment on all questions. Reasonable time constraints will apply throughout the session.

“We are pleased to be working with the Chamber, Community Impact Newspaper and VAC on this opportunity for our residents to gain first-hand information and input from candidates for the MISD Board of Trustees” says MISD Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Communications Dr. Sonja Lopez. “Hopefully a large number of people will take advantage of this unbiased forum to aid them in reaching their own voting decisions” adds Dr. Lopez.

The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) and the Voter Awareness Council (VAC) are pleased to announce that they are co-hosting a non-partisan, unbiased candidate forum on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 7:00 pm at the City Hall building at 101 Old Plantersville Road in Montgomery. Place 1 Incumbent Jon Bickford, Place 3 Incumbent TJ Wilkerson and challenger Nick Haddad, and Place 5 Incumbent Thomas Cronin and challenger David Brown have all been invited. Early voting is April 22nd through April 30th. Election Day is May 4th.

The City of Shenandoah (City) and the Voter Awareness Council (VAC) are pleased to announce that they are co-hosting a non-partisan, unbiased candidate forum on Thursday, April 18, 2019, 6:30 pm at the City Hall building on the I45 southbound access road. Incumbent Position 2 Councilman Ted Fletcher and challenger Andrea Konzem will be present. Early voting is April 22nd through April 30th and Election Day is May 4th. City and VAC officials will be co-hosting and introducing the session but will have no role in the actual forum.

Vanessa Holt, Editor of Community Impact Newspaper – The Woodlands Edition will act as forum moderator. Vanessa will use questions based on the media’s overall awareness of Shenandoah issues, questions submitted
to her from anyone prior to the session via email at vholt@communityimpact.com, and written questions submitted by the audience during the early stages of the forum. Candidates will make opening and closing remarks, answer questions in a round robin question format, and have the opportunity to comment on every question. Reasonable time constraints will apply throughout the session.
